Case Notes
This is a newborn EarWell case. The before photo shows the infant’s ear with a folded helical rim and flattened antihelical fold, the kind of ear shape that responds well to molding when treatment starts in the first days of life. EarWell is a non-surgical molding system applied shortly after birth, while the ear cartilage is still pliable from circulating maternal estrogen. The device holds the ear in the correct position over several weeks, gradually reshaping the cartilage without incisions or anesthesia. In the after photo, you can see the helical rim is fully unfolded and the antihelical fold has taken clear definition.
