Case Notes
This is a bilateral breast reduction case performed on a 43-year-old Black woman with a BMI of 36.7. Both breasts were reduced in volume, and the nipple-areolar complexes were repositioned to sit higher on the chest wall. You can see in the after photo that the breasts sit noticeably higher and carry significantly less volume than before surgery. The areolae appear smaller and more centered on each breast mound. Visible incision lines are present on both sides, which is expected with this type of reduction. Scars typically continue to fade over the months following surgery. 588g were removed from the left breast and 643g were removed from the right breast. The after photo reflects the result at an early post-operative stage, with ongoing healing still in progress.
